Artist Statement:
"This is a subject I had never expected to paint but my parents and husband were traveling with me when we came upon this sunny but snowy day with late afternoon light. Because my photographs were beautiful, I could not resist trying to capture this lovely day. I have artist friends who make numerous trips there and never happen on to a good 'light' day in the canyon, especially with sun and snow combined. I feel that I was blessed with a special gift in seeing it in this quiet, light and airy mood."
