Artist Statement:
"John 14: 26-27
This pond has been a favorite place for me to paint for many years. It is a series of natural springs that form several deep ponds surrounded by sheltering trees. The water is choppy in the afternoon but just before the sun goes down it becomes very quiet and still. The colors are rich and deep and it feels peaceful. It reminds me of Christ talking about His peace that He will give to us. This has been comforting during difficult times and the scripture is something that has meant a lot to me in my life."
